Leading global retail group, owners of some of the best loved high street brands across fashion, home, entertainment and sport is looking to hire a brand new role: a Social Media Manager specifically to work with, raise the profile of and highlight the business strategy of the Chief Executive and the Group Company through its corporate office.

This is a b2b Social Media role and will be highly visible and have access to the most senior stakeholders across the group requiring maturity, strategic capabilities, diplomacy and big thinking.

The job:

  • Work within the corporate communications team to build an effective social media strategy for the Group and Chief Executive.
  • Develop engaging copy that grabs attention.
  • Managing an active online community across Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Daily monitoring of all social media channels including competitors and similar accounts sharing insight & ideas back with the wider team.
  • Work with communication team and wider business to ensure a relevant flow of content across social channels.
  • Attend events and capture content reporting on moments and key milestones
  • Provide analytical reporting to creatives and the wider business
  • Build an affective plan for continuous growth across Instagram and LinkedIn.

The person:

  • You are looking to continuously innovate across new and existing social channels
  • You’re hungry to learn and develop social media tactics and strategies to hit ambitious targets & KPIs
  • You’re aware this isn’t a typical 9-5pm office role, and you are eager to be fast and first with original storytelling
  • Attention to detail from a creative and copywriting point of view.
  • Ability to understand and translate brand direction and purpose into social ideas and content.
  • Ability to translate data into insights to inform creative strategy.
  • Ability to develop inspirational creative briefs.
  • Ability to work with the senior management team and Chief Executive.

Additional Information

The role is based at the company’s European HQ in Central London and you will be required on site a four days a week. There will be some travel with the role so you will need a valid passport or permit to travel and the ability to be flexible around this.
