This massive retail PLC with over 25,000 employees internationally serves its customers through digital innovation and unique store experiences, offering both high street and premium, luxury brands. As a leader in the industry, they are constantly looking for ways to up their game and creating and communicating with employee advocates remains a key business priority.

This new role will report into the Head of Corporate Communications and is a senior position within the Communications Department. The role will see you working closely with the groups Head of HR as well as with a raft of senior leaders and stakeholders. There’s plenty to get your teeth stuck into including new technology being currently onboarded which will open up a wealth of comms opportunities as well as tried and tested models that probably need an injection of fresh thinking. This is a strategic role and is reflected in the salary. The group is looking for someone to bring new ideas and a wealth of experience to the table. You have an Internal Communications Officer to Line Manager too and they are also super ambitious so will be looking to you to aid and inspire their professional development.


  • Be responsible for developing and delivering an effective internal communications strategy
  • Work with the Group Head of Corporate Communications to develop messages and concepts for internal communications
  • Manage the production and delivery of planned creative and engaging content across all internal communication channels within the business
  • Manage and support Communications Officer
  • Work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure there is an efficient flow of information across the brands
  • Work closely with the wider communications team to ensure consistency across the entire department
  • Work alongside the Group People Director to drive employee relations, talent campaigns and people communications
  • Drive the content strategy for the business’s corporate social media accounts – LinkedIn and Instagram


  • Extensive experience in Internal Communications
  • Experience working in a large retail organisation is preferable, but not essential
  • Experience of Line Management with demonstrable success
  • Effective communication skills with excellent use of written English and attention to detail.
  • Experience with management communication platforms, (employee intranet).
  • An in-depth understanding of Social Media channels; Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, the ability to prioritise, be flexible and multitask.
  • A business-minded individual with an understanding of company branding, digital marketing, and communications.

This role is onsite 5 days a week based in C. London. It’s not open to hybrid working. The role is paying circa £70k but could be more for the right person. Please get in touch to find out more!
